Published by CORE Indonesia, this report applies a Green Industrial Policy framework to Indonesia’s tin sector in Belitung. Despite holding major global reserves, the region captures minimal value due to high informality, weak governance, and environmental degradation, yielding a low composite sustainability index of 0.34. System dynamics modeling demonstrates that combining formalization, downstream processing, renewable energy deployment, and targeted diversification starting in 2030 can generate significant value-added gains and formal employment through 2060 before reserves deplete.
